This is a master copy of Lucy Kalian's "Mom Always Liked You Best," made as a project for an oil painting class. I've always found myself drawn to more mundane subject matters, as I like to try to find humor and visual interest in objects that may otherwise be overlooked. This was a lot of fun for me to recreate, and I mean... who doesn't love cowboy eggs?
